Rating: *** Click here to see highlights. It was La Resistance who ended up getting the win, after Rob Conway ended up pinning Cactus Jack. Card rating: *** Match observations: A cut-down Smackdown here tonight, as a lot of the superstars were yet to fly back from Raw in London. However, the Tag Champs and Intercontinental Champ were on show, although they ended up being defeated by Steven Richards and La Resistance. As a result, La Resistance have earned a tag team title shot for this Monday night on Raw. Could it be Grenier and Conway who end up facing Thug Life at Backlash? Speaking of Backlash, a new match has been signed as of tonight, between Edge and Randy Orton, after the Canadian experienced an RKO following the conclusion of tonight's four way match. We also know that Billy Kidman will be defending his Cruiserweight Title at Backlash, but as of yet, we don't know who against. There will be a battle royal on Raw this Monday, with the winner getting the shot. Paul London has to be a favourite for that match, after his impressive victory here tonight. The Smackdown fans were shocked tonight by the return of Sting to WWE. He has vowed to take out Vader at Backlash, in what should be an amazing fight. The only question is can these two contain their hatred for one another until the PPV, or will the fighting get started on the shows beforehand? Next Show: Raw
