(As Smackdown comes on the air, Bret Hart makes his way down to ringside to
the delight of the fans.)

Bret Hart:
I've got two things that I need to do here tonight, the first of which I'll get
to in just a few moments. The second is a very special surprise that I will
reveal to you people later on here tonight, but you're just going to have to
wait and see on that one. I doubt you'll be disappointed though.

So, what I wanted to come out here and talk about was Ted DiBiase's Million
Dollar Challenge that he made on Raw last Monday. Well, DiBiase, I don't want
your money, but there are a lot of people out there who could do great things
with a million dollars, so I accept the challenge, and I'm telling you now
that when I win, that money is going to charity.

But Ted, you want no DQ and no count-out in order to ensure that there's a
clear winner? Well I'm fine with that, but how about we take it one step
further. You see, anyone can get a lucky pinfall to win a match, so what I
propose is that we eliminate pinfalls altogether, and make this a good old
fashioned submission match. I expect you'll agree to that anyway, but give
it some thought on your plane ride home from London. DiBiase, at Backlash,
I'm going to make you quit, and then people that deserve the Million Dollars
more than you do will finally have the chance to get what they can, and also
I will finally prove to you that I am the best there is, the best there was,
and the best there ever will be.
