Card Information: Held in: UTC ARENA Location: TENNESSEE, UNITED STATES on September 2004 at 8:00pm Interview: Piper's replacement... Click here to see highlights. Roddy Piper is too busy to fight, but sends Goldberg out as his replacement. Chris Jericho and The Mountie defeated Ken Shamrock and Goldberg when Y2J defeated Shamrock when Shamrock passed out in the Walls of Jericho in 0:21:59. Rating: **** 1/4 [Shane McMahon interfered against The Mountie.] Goldberg was on the losing side, but was not the one defeated, therefore the streak remains intact. However, Jericho was able to gain some revenge over Shamrock by making him pass out to the Walls. Kane defeated Ultimo Dragon by countout in 0:05:49. Rating: ** 1/2 Kane picks up the victory, as Ultimo is left out cold on the outside. It seems Brian Kendrick has got exactly what he wanted out of the Big Red Machine. Interview: Welcome back Terry Funk... Click here to see highlights. Cactus Jack and Terry Funk speak on Scott Steiner and the Outsiders. Tajiri pinned Rey Mysterio after a flying dropkick in 0:06:22. Rating: **** Fantastic match, and a big win for Tajiri. The four way at Unforgiven should be a classic. Randy Orton pinned Doug Basham after a flying cross body press in 0:08:02. Rating: *** 1/4 Good win for Orton, thus strengthening Evolution's chances for the tag titles. Following the match, Danny Basham attempted to jump Orton, but Batista ran down for the save. Scott Steiner pinned Cactus Jack after a tiger driver in 0:07:04. Rating: **** [Stacy Keibler interfered against Cactus Jack.] Steiner won the match, following a lot of help from Stacy Keibler. With the match over, Terry Funk ran down to ringside and busted Steiner open with a steel chair. Afterwards, Funk and Cactus hit Scotty with a spike piledriver onto the same chair. Interview: Shane O Mac's announcement... Click here to see highlights. Shane McMahon will referee tonight's main event. Elimination Match with Special Referee Shane McMahon: The Big Show, Triple H and Jeff Jarrett beat Steve Austin, The Rock and The Undertaker 3 falls to 0: x Big Show beat Undertaker via a Frankensteiner in 0:15:33 x Jarrett beat S. Austin via the Stroke in 0:33:27 x HHH beat Rock via the Pedigree in 0:37:28 Survivors: The Big Show, Triple H, Jeff Jarrett Rating: *** 3/4 Click here to see highlights. The heels have it, as the Big Show, Triple H and Jeff Jarrett hit a shut out on Rock, Austin and Undertaker. However, there was still no love lost between the three victors. Card rating: *** 3/4 Match observations: With Unforgiven now just days away, there is no clear cut favourite for the Elimination Chamber, although things aren't looking too good for The Rock, The Undertaker and Stone Cold. However, anything can happen inside that steel, so it would be wrong to rule anyone out. Did Goldberg's streak end tonight? He was on a losing team, but he wasn't the one who was beaten. However, he'll be more than happy to let the streak go, just as long as he is able to take out Chris Benoit this Sunday night and win the Intercontinental Championship. Cactus Jack and Terry Funk did quite a number on Scott Steiner here tonight, after Big Poppa Pump stole a victory from Mr Bang Bang. Though Steiner will have Hall and Nash to help him on Sunday, you mustn't count out the added threat of RVD that Cactus and Funk will be bringing with them. It seems more and more likely that Evolution will be leaving Unforgiven with the tag titles, although the Bashams have been known to step things up when the gold is on the line. Whatever happens, the tag title match should be one to remember. Unforgiven is shaping up to be something special, and it's more than likely that there will be one or two surprises in store on the night. Next Show: Unforgiven
