A surprisingly short match, which saw Austin kick out of the Pedigree and then make Helmsley pass out. Card rating: *** 1/4 Match observations: Following tonight's matches, it would seem as though Stone Cold and the Big Show are the favourites for the Elimination Chamber match. We may well find out if that is the case on Smackdown, when they go one on one. Also set to happen on Smackdown is a non-title match between WWE Champion Jeff Jarrett and fellow Elimination Chamber participant, The Rock. Roddy Piper's involvement certainly helped lead to Ken Shamrock defeating Chris Jericho here tonight. Jericho instantly demanded a rematch with Shamrock for this Thursday night, which Shane McMahon allowed him to have. Eager to ensure that there would be no further involvment from Piper, Jericho insisted that it be a Lion's Den match. However, Shane McMahon would only agree to this if Jericho would agree to Piper being the guest referee. Shane O Mac also ensured Jericho that Piper would be suspended if he made a biased call. It was intriguing to see X-Pac, who has been absent from the company for a few weeks, show his face during tonight's six man tag match. It's understood that he'll be explaining his presence on Smackdown, so be sure to stay tuned for that one. Counting tag matches but not battle royals, Goldberg is currently 3 and 0 since returning to WWE. Can he continue that streak on Thursday, when he face Chris Benoit and Ted DiBiase in a handicap match? Judging by the way he dealt with DiBiase tonight, a Goldberg victory seems like more than a possibility. Finally, following tonight's two on three handicap match, a no DQ match has been signed for Smackdown between Kane and Tajiri. If the Big Red Machine is in a bad mood after losing tonight, we may well find that the four way match at Unforgiven ends up being reduced to a three way. Next Show: Smackdown
