Chris Benoit earns the right to face Goldberg once again at Armageddon, while
cracks start to appear in the nWo armour, judging by Randy Orton's actions
towards Goldberg tonight.
Card rating: *** 3/4
Match observations:
It looks as though we will see the rubber match between Goldberg and Chris
Benoit at Armageddon, after the Wolverine outlasted Edge, RVD and Randy Orton
in the four corners match. Benoit's victory was not the only interesting thing
to come out of that match though, as we also saw the controversial elimination
of Rob Van Dam, and the clear problems in the nWo between Randy Orton and the
WWE Champion Goldberg. What will come of these when we get to Raw on Monday?
The nWo gained a new member tonight, as Marty Jannetty attacked his now former
tag team partner Al Snow, helping to cost him a defeat against the Million $
Team. Based on what went down tonight, a new match has been signed for the
Armageddon PPV, that being Al Snow and Funaki against Marty Jannetty and X-Pac.
Also signed for Armageddon after happenings of tonight is a match between Val
Venis and Kane. Can the former IC champion take down the big red monster? We
will have to wait and see.
Three other matches added to the Armageddon card from tonight were Goldberg vs
Benoit as mentioned earlier, Shawn Michaels vs Steven Richards, Triple H vs
Jeff Jarrett, and Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy vs Tajiri. It's shaping up to be
a great show, as 2004 winds down to a close. But it still weeks away, so be
sure to watch on and see what happens as we continue to build to the event.
