A rare opportunity to see both these guys, which is unfortunate, as they put
on quite a show here tonight.
Rey Mysterio pinned X-Pac with the West Coast Pop in 0:12:36.
Rating: ****
One night after the gruelling ladder match with Tajiri, and Rey Rey is back to
winning ways. This may harm Pac's hopes for a Cruiserweight Title shot.

A surprising victory for the Mountie over Michaels, whose back was unable to

The New Rockers (Al Snow and Marty Jannetty) defeated
nWo (Brock Lesnar and Hollywood Hogan) when Snow pinned Hollywood with the
Snow Plow in 0:19:35.
Rating: ***
(The New Rockers retained the WWE Tag Team Championship.)
The nWo won the match by count-out initially, but called for a continuation,
as they wished to win the titles. However, the New Rockers then managed to
pull off an upset victory to retain the belts.
nWo (Goldberg and Randy Orton) defeated Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho when

Orton picked up the win for the nWo, pinning Jericho in what was a fairly good
bout.
Card rating: *** 1/4
Match observations:
It wasn't that great a night for the nWo, as they failed in both their attempts
to snag gold here tonight and X-Pac also tasted defeat at the hands of Rey
Mysterio. However, they did gain a manner of revenge in the main event, where
Randy Orton and Goldberg managed to get the better of Chris Jericho and Chris
Benoit. It seems as though the faith that the nWo had in Orton is already
starting to pay off.
Survivor Series is the next Pay Per View event at the end of the match, and we
already know that Goldberg will defend the WWE title against Chris Benoit, HHH
will take on Randy Orton, and Chris Jericho will go one on one with Big Poppa
Pump, Scott Steiner. Expect plenty more matches to be signed in the near
future though.
The New Rockers really seem to have the nWo's number, after getting by Hall and
Nash, DiBiase and the Big Show, and then Hogan and Lesnar here tonight. You
have to wonder who the New World Order will send after them next with the hope
of taking away their tag team titles.
Shawn Michaels' return to Raw tonight was marred by a submission defeat against
the Mountie. Was Shawn's mind still on the injury to Steven Richards, or is
HBK's back starting to give him serious problems again? We may well find out
soon enough.
