Rating: *** 1/2 Click here to see highlights. Benoit finally picks up a win, going into Unforgiven. However, his joy was shortlived, as Ric Flair soon hit the ring and attacked the champ. As the show went off the air, Flair and Helmsley posed above the fallen Benoit with the title belt. Card rating: *** 1/2 Match observations: We're going into Unforgiven with plenty of anticipation for the title match. Tonight, Chris Benoit pinned Triple H, after suffering defeats at the hands of the Game and Ric Flair over the past few weeks. However, come Sunday, Benoit will have to cope with both Helmsley and Flair at once, and if the post match beatdown tonight is anything to go by, he may not be able to. Of course, you also have to figure in the ego factor of Flair and Helmsley. Would either man allow the other to become champ. Flair may well let HHH get the win, but can you honestly see it happening the other way around? It seems as though Cactus Jack is busily making enemies. Not only did he attack Terry Funk here tonight, but he followed that up by attacking William Regal, after Regal was pinned in their tag match tonight against Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall. With Cactus facing Michaels on Sunday for the IC title, he may have to keep having a lookout over his shoulder, so as to ensure that there isn't someone there to stab him in the back. The Dudley Boys seem to be building up a number of allies in the backstage area lately. After joining forces with Aj Styles and Raven last week to attack the tag team champions, they've now seemingly brought Spike Dudley back into the fold, as they helped him earn a victory over Rhyno tonight. Where is this leading to? We may find out before long. Big win for Christian in the Battle Royal tonight, as he prevented JBL from getting a win. What will be Captain Charisma's reward for his victory? We don't know yet, but we hope to find out soon enough. The Battle Royal did see some interesting setups, though, with The Rock and Randy Orton being eliminated very early, Batista and Kurt Angle eliminating their Unforgiven opponents Chris Jericho and Ken Shamrock respectively, and even Val Venis eliminating his tag team championship partner of just a few weeks ago, Edge! Unforgiven should prove to be a rather interesting show, and with two PPV's to come in the month that follows, we can expect a number of exciting results to come from it. Next Show: Unforgiven
