Roddy Piper signs an explosive 10-man main event! AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio by countout in 0:10:28. Rating: ** 1/2 (Rey Mysterio retained the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.) [Ultimo Dragon interfered against Rey Mysterio.] Click here to see highlights. The interference from Ultimo cost Rey the match, but not the title. AJ Styles didn't seem to be too worried about not getting the belt, which suggests that this may have been a ploy between him and Ultimo to weaken Rey before the PPV. Interview: Kidman speaks on his two big wins... Click here to see highlights. An interview with Billy Kidman is interrupted by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Vader pinned Hurricane Helms with the Vader Bomb in 0:12:58. Rating: **** Fantastic match, with Vader taking a lot of punishment from the Hurricane, and still emerging victorious. Interview: The Dudley's response... Click here to see highlights. An interesting stipulation is added to the Dudleys/WGTT match at Summerslam. Kurt Angle pinned Edge after the Angle Slam in 0:10:25. Rating: *** 1/4 (John Bradshaw Layfield no-showed.) Good match, with Angle replacing his absent tag partner JBL. Can he repeat this feat on Sunday to win the tag titles for the Great Americans? Interview: Jeff Jarrett?!?! Click here to see highlights. Jeff Jarrett returns, but gets a very nasty surprise almost immediately. The Undertaker defeated Jeff Jarrett by disqualification in 0:10:25. Rating: *** Sensing defeat, Jarrett decided to smash the guitar over the Undertaker's head and make a run for it. The fans didn't seem to care though, as they went crazy for the return of the Deadman. Elimination Match: Evolution (Randy Orton, Ric Flair and Triple H), Cactus Jack and Christopher Dan iels beat Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, The Rock, Roddy Piper and Shawn Michaels 5 falls to 0: x Daniels beat Michaels via a gutwrench suplex in 0:09:22 x HHH beat Y2J via the Pedigree in 0:22:43 x Flair beat Rock via a small package in 0:33:34 x Cactus Jack beat Piper via the Double Arm DDT in 0:41:04 x HHH beat Benoit via a crucifix in 0:44:52 Survivors: Randy Orton, Ric Flair, Triple H, Cactus Jack, Christopher Daniels Rating: *** 1/4 Click here to see highlights. A shocking shut-out for the heels, as Evolution, Cactus Jack and Christopher Daniels got the win without losing a single fall. Is this a sign of what's to come at Summerslam? Card rating: *** 1/4 Match observations: A very interesting night of action going into Summerslam, especially as it now seems as though the nod in the Elimination Chamber is going to go to either Triple H, Randy Orton or Cactus Jack. The 10 man main event went very much their way, and if things continue like this, one of those three will walk out of Summerslam with the gold, Ric Flair will defeat Roddy Piper, and Christopher Daniels will retain the Intercontinental Championship. If the return of Jeff Jarrett wasn't shocking enough, the return of the Undertaker just a few seconds later was enough to get the fans off their feet. Taker was unable to get the revenge he hoped for against Jarrett, but there is still plenty of time for that. You have to wonder what Shane McMahon thinks about the Deadman's return, especially considering his comments about him just prior to Wrestlemania this year. Could this Sunday prove to be the end of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin teaming up together? If the Dudleys can defeat them, then it definitely will be. However, we all saw Benjamin get a hard earned victory over Bubba Ray here tonight, so there is hope that the World's Greatest Tag Team can stay together with a victory. Summerslam looks to be an explosive PPV, and there's only one way to find out for certain, and that's by tuning in! Next Show: Summerslam
