Goldberg says that he's only in the business for the money, which the nWo can offer him by the bucketload. Ted DiBiase defeated Al Snow by countout in 0:06:18. Rating: ** 1/4 While it won't be good enough to win the tag titles on Sunday, DiBiase picks up a count-out victory here tonight. Scott Steiner pinned Bret Hart after a dragon suplex in 0:16:28. Rating: **** 1/4 [Stacy Keibler interfered against Bret Hart.] Big win for Steiner over the Hitman, continuing his good run of form. Could the nWo keep this going in the six man match at No Mercy? Rock vows to put Goldberg down for good. nWo (Goldberg and Jeff Jarrett) defeated The Rock and The Undertaker when Goldberg defeated Rock when Rock passed out in a leg hammerlock in 0:14:52. Rating: *** 1/4 Click here to see highlights. Goldberg got the win he was after, by making the Rock pass out. As Smackdown went off the air, he was stood over the lifeless body of the champ with his arms raised high. Card rating: *** 1/4 Match observations: It was a night of highs and lows for the nWo, as Goldberg was able to defeat the Rock during the tag team main event, thus making him the favourite to take the title this Sunday. Scott Steiner and Ted DiBiase also picked up victories, but Hall, Nash and X-Pac were made to look foolish by Randy Orton, who pinned all three men during the nWo/Evolution elimination match. With Orton being the Legend Killer, could he prove to be the man that WWE pins its hopes on for killing the legend of the nWo. Only time will tell. Also tonight, we saw the return of Shawn Michaels. Although he was defeated by Chris Benoit in a tag team match, he'll be hoping for much better things on Sunday, when he faces Steven Richards at No Mercy. One last match has been signed for the Pay Per View this Sunday night, it will be Kurt Angle going one on one with Brian Kendrick, in what should be a rather interesting match-up. No Mercy will give us the first real signs of how the nWo vs WWE war will shape up. It should be quite an event. Next Show: No Mercy
