Bret left in a hurry, as Shawn said goodbye to the crowd. Card rating: *** 1/4 Match observations: How appropriate that we were in the Veterans Memorial Colliseum, as we said goodbye to three of the greatest veterans of all time? Bret Hart, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels will most likely be back one day, but for now, the company will have to live on without them. Also gone are Brock Lesnar and William Regal, as we saw tonight, but also no longer with the company are Sting, the Ultimate Warrior, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, the Legion of Doom, Chavo Guerrero and Chris Nowinski, amongst others. There will be further re-negotiations after show tonight, so yet more people could be on their way out. The complexion of Summerslam has obviously changed as a result of this, with the Shane McMahon versus William Regal and Bret Hart versus RVD matches now both off. As mentioned during the show, RVD will now be a part of the match for the Intercontinental Title, which is now a four way elimination match. Also mentioned earlier, Shane McMahon will name a brand new commissioner of WWE on Raw. Fans are calling for Shane to take on that role himself, but as of yet it has not been decided who will fill the slot. We can only wait and see. Next Show: Raw
