[WWE Title Shot Tournament - Round 1]: Triangle Match: Shawn Michaels defeated Bret Hart and Steve Austin when Michaels pinned S. Austin with the Sweet Chin Music in 0:27:09. Rating: **** 1/2 Click here to see highlights. Despite bleeding like a faucet, Shawn Michaels advanced in his second chance to face Kane in the semi-finals. Card rating: *** 3/4 Match observations: An interesting night of action, which saw Shawn Michaels advance to the semis of the title shot tourney at the second time of trying, new tag team champions crowned, and Hollywood Hogan taken down by Goldberg. Stone Cold had no excuses for elimination this time around, as he was cleanly pinned by Michaels, but Bret Hart has to be disappointed, especially after he was forced to face two guys instead of the one that he expected, and because he was eliminated from the tournament without being involved in the actual decision. Unfortunately it's too late for complaints now, as the semi final matches are set. It'll be Goldberg vs Randy Orton on Smackdown this week, and HBK vs Kane next week on Raw. After his tag victory tonight, it has been confirmed that Matt Hardy will indeed challenge Taka Michinoku for the Cruiserweight Title at No Way Out. This should be an excellent match, and a great first test as Champion for Taka. The Undertaker's path of rage through the nWo continued tonight, as he took out Marty Jannetty. It's understood that he will address the Big Show this Thursday night on Smackdown. Finally, congratulations to Lance Storm and Val Venis, who won the tag titles from the Outsiders here tonight. Storm has only been back with WWE for a few weeks, and already holds gold alongside the multiple time Intercontinental Champ Venis. Next Show: Smackdown
