Rating: **** 1/4 [X-Pac interfered against Hurricane Helms.] Click here to see highlights. Dragon got a big victory, but Helms was clearly affected by the steel chair shot from X-Pac. This was obviously a revenge attack from where Helms cost Pac a match against Marty Jannetty just a few weeks ago. Shawn Michaels and Steven Richards battled to a no contest in 0:03:21. Steven Richards tore his left triceps. He will be out for approximately 5 cards. Rating: ** 1/2 Click here to see highlights. Folks, this is one of those unfortunate situations that you cannot account for when planning a live show. Steven Richards picked up an injury, which meant that he could not continue. We hope to see him back as soon as possible. Triangle Match: The New Rockers defeated The Million Dollar Team and The Outsiders when Jannetty pinned DiBiase after a German suplex in 0:30:32. The nWo's plan to screw the New Rockers out of the tag titles failed, as both teams clashed over who would get the win. As it was, Jannetty ended up getting a sneaky pinfall over DiBiase to retain the titles. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: X-Pac pinned Triple H with the X-Factor in 0:12:25. Thanks to some help from the nWo, Jeff Jarrett ended up getting Taker in the casket and winning the match. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Bret Hart, Chris Jericho and Randy Savage defeated nWo (Brock Lesnar, Hollywood Hogan and Scott Steiner) when Y2J defeated S. Steiner when S. Steiner passed out in the Walls of Jericho in 0:10:25. Rating: **** Click here to see highlights. A sneaky win for Jericho, but a win nonetheless. The nWo were left defeated but they lived to fight another day. Interview: It's time... Click here to see highlights. The Rock is confident that he will defeat Goldberg. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Goldberg pinned The Rock with the Jackhammer in 0:07:41. Rating: *** 1/2 (Goldberg won the WWE Championship.) Click here to see highlights. Despite the best efforts of The Rock, Goldberg won the match, and the WWE title became property of the nWo. Card rating: *** 1/2 Match observations: Well, the nWo had a few slip ups, most notably their failure to win the six man match and the tag team titles, but they more than made up for that with Jeff Jarrett defeating the Undertaker, the addition of Randy Orton to the group as X-Pac defeated Triple H, and of course with Goldberg defeating The Rock to become the new WWE Champion. Goldberg's reign may have begun tonight, but it may not last much longer than a month, as his first challenger at the Survivor Series will be Chris Benoit, a man who defeated Goldberg in just 71 seconds at Unforgiven last month. Benoit may not be that high on morale going into this match however, after losing the Intercontinental Title that he held for so long against Matt Hardy tonight. It looks like there may be some unfinished business between Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon. Dragon came to ringside during the Rey/Tajiri ladder match here tonight and was clearly assisting Tajiri, before the referee ejected him from ringside. No word as to whether Tajiri had actually asked for the help of Dragon though. And speaking of interference, we saw some from X-Pac, as he assisted Ultimo Dragon by attacking the Hurricane during their match. Could an Ultimo Dragon nWo turn be on the cards? Finally, we wish for a speedy recovery for Steven Richards, who suffered an injury during his match with Shawn Michaels here tonight. The match was forced to an abrupt halt, after Richards broke down in the ring. Hopefully he will return soon. Next Show: Raw
