(As Raw returns from commercial, Jeff Jarrett makes his way down to the ring.)

Jeff Jarrett:
Bret Hart, you must be the stupidest guy in the world. Do you really think I
want you coming out and offering me pity-based shots at the WWE title. A title
that's not even around your waist. Hell no. I am going to, like I have always
done, earn my right to a title shot at Judgment Day. That's why I chose to
fake passing out to your little figure four last Thursday night.

Bret Hart, when I meet you for real, or when I meet the Warrior for real, it
will be a whole different story, because that belt will go home with me. But
until then, I'm gonna take the time to prove myself to everybody in this damn
company.

So with that said, I'm now issuing a challenge to any WWE superstar to face me
at Backlash, so that I can prove how worthy a contender I am. It doesn't
matter who you are, big or small, the challenge is open to you.

(After about a minute, no-one has shown up.)

Jeff Jarrett:
See that's what I thought, nobody has got the guts to take me on. Hell, you'd
have to be high to wanna challenge me...

(Jeff Jarrett is interrupted by the music of Rob Van Dam. RVD makes his way
out onto the stage.)

Rob Van Dam:
Dude...did you just say you'd have to be high to make a challenge to you? Cos
if you did, then I'm your man. After all, nobody gets higher than Rob...Van...
Dam!

But seriously dude, you want a challenger for Backlash? I'm not doing anything
that night, so I accept. How does that sound?

Jeff Jarrett:
Boy, you just made my night. And let me assure you of something, there ain't
no getting higher than Jeff Jarrett, so you should consider yourself one lucky
son of a gun.

Rob Van Dam:
Lucky? Hey, you gotta realise something dude, there's no need to be lucky,
when you're R...V...D!

(Van Dam's music hits, as a confused Jeff Jarrett looks on from the ring.)
