Match observations:
So, a new WWE Champion and new WWE Tag Team Champions in the same night, but
Chris Benoit holds firm with the Intercontinental gold. It was very surprising
to see Jarrett go over cleanly as well, although it would have been nicer if
the match had gone on longer.
Triple H may now be the unofficial icon of attitude, but the refereeing of
Nick Patrick left a lot to be desired. Maybe our new commissioner Shane O
Mac will have something to say about that tomorrow night. He has already
promised a major announcment regarding Unforgiven.
Expect a Kurt Angle/Eddie Guerrero rematch tomorrow on Raw, after tonights
match ended in shambles. The likelihood is that it will be a no DQ match.
Rather unsurprisingly, it was Goldberg that faced Kane here tonight, and he
managed to get by the Big Red Machine, despite a struggle. Who knows what
the future holds for Billy G in WWE?
