The main event of the evening, alongside Steve Austin vs. Jeff Jarrett, will now be a tag match featuring Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart vs. Scott Hall and Triple H. Ultimo Dragon, Dean Malenko and Jamie Noble defeated Brian Kendrick, Tajiri and Maven when D. Malenko made Maven submit to a figure-four leglock in 0:15:52. Rating: ** 3/4 Not as amazing as the Cruiserweight match on Smackdown, but still a solid match to open up the show. Malenko will surely be in line for a shot at Kendrick's title very soon. Chris Benoit made Chris Jericho submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:10:52. Rating: **** Another excellent match from these two Canadians. Instead of Ted DiBiase facing the Hurricane, as was previously scheduled, the Million Dollar Man's new bodyguard, the Big Show will take his place. The Big Show pinned Hurricane Helms with the Showstopper in 0:03:43. Rating: ** 1/2 An easy victory by the Big Show, following which, Ted DiBiase removed a dollar bill from his jacket and shoved it in The Hurricane's mouth. Number-One-Contenders-Match: Eddie Guerrero and Lance Storm defeated The Dudley Boys when E. Guerrero pinned Bubba after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:22:50. Rating: ** 1/2 (Chavo Guerrero Jr. no-showed.) Eddie and Storm win the match, despite the no-show from Chavo. Will Storm remain in Chavo's place for the tag title match at the Royal Rumble? Footage is then shown of Jeff Jarrett and Steve Austin, whose match is up next! Jeff Jarrett pinned Steve Austin after a gutwrench suplex in 0:16:41. Rating: ** 1/2 Click here to see highlights. Jarrett did exactly what he said, and he beat Austin. The Chosen One looked incrediby pleased with himself as he left the ring. The Kliq (Triple H and Scott Hall) defeated Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart when Hall pinned The Hulkster with the Outsider Edge in 0:16:16. Rating: ** 1/4 Scott Hall pinned the World Champion. This should give him a major advantage over Hogan going into the Rumble. Card rating: ** 1/2 Match observations: A big win for Scott Hall, cementing his position as the Number 1 Contender.
