Shane McMahon books a 6-man tag main event, based on the conclusion of last week's Smackdown. Sylvan Grenier defeated Cactus Jack when Cactus Jack passed out in a rear chinlock in 0:07:37. Rating: *** 1/4 A very unusual victory saw Cactus put out with a rear chinlock. The title challengers are now 2 and 0 against the champions in singles matches. Can they take home the gold come Sunday? Edge pinned Charlie Haas with the Edgeacution in 0:02:07. Rating: ** 3/4 [Chris Benoit interfered against Charlie Haas.] Quick victory for Edge over Haas. The result of the match once again saw a brawl erupt between Edge & Val Venis and Haas & Benjamin, offering a clear view on what their Judgment Day match may be like. Interview: Bubba's Replacement... Click here to see highlights. D-Von Dudley bullies his brother Spike into being his tag partner at Judgment Day, and then throws him to the wolves with a match against John Cena. John Cena pinned Spike Dudley after a powerslam in 0:09:38. Rating: *** 1/2 Cena gets the win over a determined Spike Dudley. The two superstars shook hands after the match, only for D-Von Dudley to drill Cena from behind with a steel chair. As Spike questioned his brother's motives, Tazz ran in with a chair of his own. He took a swing at D-Von, but the dastardly Dudley put Spike in the way, causing him to take the full force of the blow. Kane pinned Terry Funk with the Choke Slam in 0:03:25. Rating: *** 1/2 Funk managed to kick out of three choke slams, but the fourth one finished him off. After the match, Triple H and Ric Flair came to ringside to gloat over their fallen opponent. Interview: Daniels explains his attack... Click here to see highlights. Christopher Daniels launches another barrage of self-loving schtick. Tajiri pinned Christopher Daniels with the Stiff kick to the head in 0:09:10. Rating: **** After Daniels' early tirade, he seemingly got his comeuppance by losing to Tajiri. However, after the bell, the Fallen Angel got his revenge by beating down on the Japanese Buzzsaw, until Booker T ran out to make the save. Vader, Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase defeated Steve Austin, Sting and Hollywood Hogan when DiBiase made Hollywood submit to the Million Dollar Dream in 0:17:27. Rating: **** Click here to see highlights. A much better match than last Thursday's main event saw DiBiase put Hogan out with the Million Dollar Dream. Can he do it again at Judgment Day? Card rating: *** 3/4 Match observations: Given that this was Hogan's fourth match on as many shows, you can forgive him for being put out with the Million Dollar Dream, but with Judgment Day just a few days away, you have to wonder whether the Hulkster can recover in time to make it to the match. Perhaps Shane McMahon will show some leniance to Hogan on Smackdown, and let him have the night off, while DiBiase works a singles match against a difficult opponent. Perhaps, but we won't know until we get to the show on Thursday. La Resistance are looking incredibly likely to become the tag team champions at the PPV, after Sylvan Grenier followed up Rene Dupree's win over HBK by making Cactus Jack pass out to a submission hold. The Champs will be hopinh for revenge on Thursday in an 8-man tag match, which will see them team with Edge and Val Venis to face La Resistance and the World's Greatest Tag Team. Christopher Daniels' route to the IC title hit a stumbling block tonight, as he fell to defeat against Tajiri. However, he'll be looking to put that loss behind him when he goes for the gold at Judgment Day. Daniels has yet to record a PPV victory for WWE, but as anything can happen here, it'd be foolish to write him off just yet. Terry Funk tried his best against Kane this week, but just could not stop the Big Red Monster. We'll get another preview of the six man match on Thursday, as Triple H and Ric Flair team up to face Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. This match has 5-star classic written all over it. We've just heard tonight that an additional match has been signed for Judgment Day between two returning superstars. Masahiro Chono will make a long-awaited return to the WWE ring, as he goes one on one with John Bradshaw Layfield. It is set to be a big time brawl between these two mammoth monsters.
