(Raw comes on the air, as Shane McMahon makes his way down to ringside and
grabs a mic. )

Shane McMahon:
Last night, I showed the world that Terry Funk is little more than a washed up
has-been, when I beat him at his own game.  That victory gave me the right to
name the main event for No Mercy, a main event that is set in stone, and cannot
be changed.

The man that I have chosen to be the number 1 contender to the WWE title is a
man who earned his shot.  Last Thursday, I promised a reward to the man who won
the Battle Royal on Smackdown, and I have decided that reward will be a title
shot at No Mercy.  So right here and right now, I am announcing that the WWE
Champion Chris Benoit will defend his title at No Mercy against Christian!

Now, this may come as a shock to you, but I prom...

(McMahon is interrupted by the music of Triple H, who makes his way down to the
ring, looking very angry with what he has just heard. )

Triple H:
See, I'm trying to understand why...this is a joke, right Shane?  There's no
way in hell that you're actually serious about this.  That title shot is mine,
Shane.  Benoit beat Flair last night, he didn't beat me, and now you're now
you're giving my title shot to Christian?  Give me one good reason why.

Shane McMahon:
First of all, Hunter, I don't have to give you any reason, if I don't want to.
Despite that, I've already given a reason, and that is that Christian earned 
his shot by winning the Battle Royal last Thursday.

Triple H:
And you think he's gonna beat Benoit?  The guy's nothing.  He's not WWE Title
material, he doesn't belong in the main event.

Shane McMahon:
That's not up to you to decide Hunter, that's up to Christian to decide.

Triple H:
It won't be up to Christian to decide if I take him out first.

Shane McMahon:
You might think Hunter, but you see, if you were to take out Christian, you'd
instantly forfeit your chance to the title shot that I'm planning to give you.

Triple H:
This has better be for right here tonight.

Shane McMahon:
It's not, but wait just a second, because I've got other plans for you tonight.
Hunter, as of right now, I am giving you a guaranteed spot on the ballot for a
WWE Title shot at Taboo Tuesday.  There are going to be three spots on that
ballot.  One is reserved for the loser of the Benoit vs Christian match at No
Mercy, another is reserved for the winner of an 8-man tournament, which will
begin here tonight, in just a few moments, and the third spot, well Hunter, 
that belongs to you, if you want it.

Triple H:
You think that impresses me?  You think these people, these idiots, and the
idiots on the internet are going to vote for me to get a title shot?  This is
a bunch of crap Shane, you know it, I know it, these people know it.  Why the
hell should I waste my time?

Shane McMahon:
It's simple, because if you accept the place on the ballot, then right here
tonight, Hunter, I can give you Terry Funk in a one on one match.  Think about
it, he's been getting in your business for weeks, and if you accept this place
on the Taboo Tuesday ballot, then you can wrestle Funk right here tonight, and
take out ALL of your frustrations on him.

Triple H:
Funk, huh?  Right here tonight?

Shane McMahon:
Right here tonight.

Triple H:
Well, when you put it that way, no.

Shane McMahon:
No?  Hunter, this is your only chance to get to Funk.  If you don't take this
opportunity now, you'll never get another chance.

Triple H:
I appreciate that Shane, but it just seems to me like we're doing everything on
your terms.  We're going to do things on my terms.  If I accept the place on 
the Taboo Tuesday ballot, then I want you to promise one thing as well as this
Funk match.

Shane McMahon:
Name it.

Triple H:
I want you to sign a contract, saying that if I don't win the fans vote for
Taboo Tuesday, then before the year is out, I will be able to challenge the WWE
Champion to a one on one match, whenever or wherever I want.  Just one shot,
but whenever and wherever I want it.  If it's right after another gruelling
title defence, I can have it.  If it's in the middle of a Raw or Smackdown
show, it's mine.  Do that, and you've got a deal.

Shane McMahon:
1 shot, at any time you like before the year is out?

Triple H:
That's right.

Shane McMahon:
Well then, you've got yourself a deal, Hunter.  And not only that, but you've
got yourself a match with Terry Funk tonight.  Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you
the first man on the ballot for Taboo Tuesday, Triple H!
