(In the backstage area, Chris Benoit bursts into Roddy Piper's office. )

Chris Benoit:
Did you see what happened, Piper?  Huh?  Did you see what they did?  How come
nobody told Batista was back?  I have a right to know.  I'm the WWE Champion.

Roddy Piper:
Woh there Chris, calm down a second.  Yeah I saw what happened, but you know, I
also just saw what happened with the Undertaker and Kane, and I can't say I'm
too thrilled about that either.  Obviously that's why Shane McMahon didn't seem
to care too much about getting booked against the Deadman.  But you know, it
seems clear to me that Kane wants to fight his brother yet again, so I guess
we'll get it done at Unforgiven.  We'll have ourselves a cool little one on one
match between the Undertaker and Kane.  That sounds good, doesn't it?

Chris Benoit:
It sounds good Piper, but it's damned irrelevant to me.  What are you gonna do
about Evolution jumping me?

Roddy Piper:
Well, ha, whaddya want me to do, Chris?

Chris Benoit:
I want you to give me a member of Evolution here tonight, any one of them, and
I'll put the title on the line, to prove to them that I am for real.

Roddy Piper:
Any member, huh?  Well, how about all four of them, in an 8-man tag match?

Chris Benoit:
That sounds good to me, but who are my partners?

Roddy Piper:
Any three guys you want Chris, but let me first just add a little stipulation.
If any member of Evolution can pin you, or make you submit in the match here
tonight, that man instantly becomes the number 1 contender at Unforgiven.

Chris Benoit:
I've got no problem with that, Piper.  Any partners I want?

Roddy Piper:
Any partners you want.

Chris Benoit:
Then I pick The Rock, Chris Jericho and The Big Show.

Roddy Piper:
Ha.  That's quite a team there champ, I applaud you for it.  One thing though,
when I said any partners you want, what I actually meant was any partners, with
the exception of the Big Show, you see, after what went down with him and Vader
last night at Summerslam, I've decided to suspend them both from the show, with
a view to the two of them having a little steel cage match on Smackdown this
week.  But you know what, Chris, I've got a real good idea who your fourth 
partner should be.  Why don't you follow me, and I'll show you exactly who he
is.

(Piper leads Benoit out of the office, as the scene fades out. )
