(As Smackdown comes on the air, Bret Hart makes his way down to ringside.)

Bret Hart:
I'm out here tonight for a simple reason.  I'm out here to apologise to all of
my fans for my actions on Raw.  I know full well that you're not supposed to
put your hands on WWE officials, and yet I went ahead and did it anyway, and
cost myself a shot at the WWE title.  

So, to the fans, and to the referee himself, I say sorry, and I can ensure you
that next time I have the chance to earn a title shot, I'll keep my cool, and
I'll win the match the way I always do, using the excellence of execution, and
I will prove that I am the best there is, the best there wa...

(Hart is cut off by the music of Triple H, who comes out on the ramp.)

Triple H:
You know something Hitman.  You don't need to come out here and apologise to
the people for attacking referees.  The only thing you need to apologise for
is the fact that you're a failure.  A washed-up has been riding on former 
glories.  You, Bret Hart, are in direct opposition to Evolution.  And it's
for that reason that Evolution is here to pass you by tonight.

Hitman, if you've got the guts, I want to face you here tonight, one on one,
and I will prove to you that you're nothing more than a shell of your former
self.  A nobody that doesn't belong here, and is too broken down to hold his
own anymore.  What I need to know Bret, is do you accept my challenge?

Bret Hart:
Hunter, I've never backed down from a challenge in my life.  You're on.  But
as far as Evolution passing me by is concerned, that ain't gonna happen.  Now,
you can either wrestle me tonight, or you can set me up for a gang fight, but
I'm warning you right now, there's a whole lot of guys in that locker room who
will back me up if you try to set your pack of dogs on me, so don't say that
you weren't warned.  I'll see you in the ring, tonight.
