(Shane McMahon is still in his office, when William Regal walks in.)

Shane McMahon:
William, what can I do for you?

William Regal:
Shane, I'm here for one simple reason. When you took away my chance for a shot
at the WWE title at Wrestlemania, I did a spot of research. I discovered that
while you had the right to postpone the title shot for the Royal Rumble winner,
you did not have the right to cancel it, therefore I am here tonight to demand
that I get a title shot at Backlash, and not the winner of some half-arsed, no
name tournament.

Shane McMahon:
William. You're right, I'm not able to cancel your title shot, but as far as
I'm concerned, the winner of the tournament is the number 1 contender. But,
seeing as I'm in an excessively good mood due to the death of the nWo, you're
going to get your title shot, and you're going to get it this Thursday night
on Smackdown. It'll be William Regal versus Chris Benoit for the WWE title.
But let me ask you something, how come you're not looking for another shot at
the tag titles with Steven Richards?

William Regal:
Oh God Shane, no, not again. I'll be honest with you, I only teamed with that
ratty-haired little toerag as a favour to Lance Storm, because he wanted out
of teaming with Val Venis.

Shane McMahon:
Oh really? Is that so? Then I guess it's a good thing that you lost the gold
to HBK and Cactus Jack last night. Well William, it's been good talking to
you, and I guess I better wish you good luck for your match on Thursday. Oh,
and if you see Lance Storm, and I'm sure you will, tell him not to be late to
Smackdown on Thursday, because if what you just said to me is true, then he
will be in the opening match of the show, against Val Venis, inside of a steel
cage. Good day to you now!
