(As Smackdown comes on the air, Shane McMahon makes his way down to ringside to
a huge ovation from the fans.)

Shane McMahon:
Thank you, thank you, it's good to be here. You know, ever since William Regal
was appointed commissioner of World Wrestling Entertainment in February, I have
been watching the way he interacts with superstars, and I can quite frankly say
that I am not impressed.

Not, my father doesn't have a problem with the way William Regal has been doing
things around here, but that's probably because he sees thing a different way
to how I do. But as far as I'm concerned, the Regal reign has to come to an
end. So I went to my father, and I begged him for the opportunity to make a
change. What he offered me was a chance to make that change...at Summerslam.

So William Regal, at Summerslam, it's gonna be you and me, one on one, with the
simple stipulation that winner takes all. You win the match, you stay on as
the commissioner, and I'll go away. But if I win, you return to being nothing
more than an active competitor, while I have the opportunity to name a brand
new commissioner for WWE.

Now, if you have...

(William Regal's music hits, as he comes out onto the ramp.)

William Regal:
If I have what? A problem with your decision? Oh no Shane, I don't have a
problem with it at all. In fact, I knew exactly what was coming. I knew it
from the moment I received this memo from Mr. McMahon telling me that you were
becoming an active competitor on a temporary basis.

The match at Summerslam is fine with me, because I've beaten bigger and better
WWE superstars than you. But my concern is your ring rust sunshine. You've
not had a match in a very long time. So I've decided that seeing as you are
on the active roster now, I'm going to book you in a tag team match tonight.
Your partner is the WWE Champion, The Undertaker. And your opponents, the
number 1 contenders, Brock Lesnar and Jeff Jarrett. Have a good night now
Shane, and try not to get yourself hurt - that's my job at Summerslam!
