The Big Show and Ted DiBiase defeated a.P.a. when Big Show pinned Faarooq with the Showstopper in 0:21:45. Rating: *** 1/2 (The Big Show and Ted DiBiase retained the WWE Tag Team Championship.) Click here to see highlights. While they showed promise against DiBiase, neither Bradshaw nor Faarooq could withstand the power of the Big Show. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Kevin Nash defeated Shawn Michaels via pinfall in 0:08:20. Rating: *** Click here to see highlights. After taking two Jack Knife Power Bombs on the concrete floor, Michaels was in a bad way, leaving him easy pickings for Nash. After the match, Nash merely walked away, instead of checking on Michaels. Interview: Regal's last words... Click here to see highlights. William Regal is confident he can defeat Brock Lesnar again. No-Countout-No-DQ-Towel Match: William Regal (w/Scott Steiner) defeated Brock Lesnar (w/Sting) with the Regal Stretch in 0:16:44. Rating: *** 1/4 Click here to see highlights. Regal got the win after Sting through in the towel for a busted open Lesnar. With the match over, Regal retreated up the ramp, before grabbing a mic and yelling to Lesnar "now, do it, just as I told you". Lesnar then, to the shock of the crowd, picked up Sting and gave him the F-5! The Rock pinned Ric Flair with the People's Elbow in 0:17:32. Rating: *** 1/4 Click here to see highlights. Match with Managers Banned From Ringside: Chris Benoit made Rey Mysterio submit to the Crippler Crossface in 0:09:21. Rating: **** 1/4 (Chris Benoit retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship.) Click here to see highlights. An excellent match-up, the best so far tonight. Benoit retains the title, and proves that he doesn't need Heyman in his corner to be victorious. Mexican Death No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Steve Austin pinned Bret Hart with the Stone Cold Stunner in 0:34:50. Rating: **** 1/4 Click here to see highlights. After an amazing, hard fought match, Stone Cold came out as the winner. The emotion was clearly present in his face, as he celebrated this victory. Interview: Jeff Jarrett's time is now... Click here to see highlights. Jarrett is ready for his shot at the WWE title. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Jeff Jarrett pinned The Ultimate Warrior with the Stroke in 0:14:01. Rating: **** (Jeff Jarrett won the WWE Championship.) Click here to see highlights. Jeff Jarrett realised his dreams, but only after a shocking finish. With the Warrior down following the Stroke, Jarrett made the cover, while Nick Patrick made a lightning fast three count. He then handed Jarrett the belt and left alongside him, while the Warrior was left confused and angry by the decision as the show went off the air. Card rating: *** 3/4 Match observations: While many have noticed that the officiating of Nick Patrick has been a tad suspect lately, his performance in the main event tonight was flat out crooked. Rumours have been circulating that Patrick was paid off by either Jarrett or William Regal in order to ensure that the Ultimate Warrior did not leave the arena as the Champion. Whoever was behind it, it's safe to say that the plan was a successful one. Elsewhere, we saw amazing match-ups with Austin and Bret Hart, as well as Rey Mysterio and Chris Benoit, which really made the show what it was tonight. Any one of those men could well be in line for a shot at Jarrett in the near future. However, it seems most likely that the man who will be getting the first shot at the new champion is none other than The Undertaker, after he took down Shane Douglas tonight. Clearly there was more to William Regal's visit to Brock Lesnar's locker room than was let on, as Lesnar followed up his defeat by giving the F-5 to his cornerman Sting, on the orders of Regal. Now that he has the baddest man on the planet on his side, it looks like nothing can stand in the way of the Regal reign for now. Kevin Nash viciously brutalised Shawn Michaels here tonight, and was rather unapologetic about it too. After giving Shawn two big power bombs on the outside of the ring, there was nothing HBK could do to come back. Considering how the aPa were unable to subdue Ted DiBiase and the Big Show, what chance do Kaientai have? They get their title shot tomorrow night on Raw, but I don't think many would give them any hope. Congratulations should also go out to The Rock, who got a major victory over Ric Flair tonight, and Brian Kendrick, who once again became the Cruiserweight champ by defeating the Hurricane. It was certainly a good night for those two. Thoughts will now turn to Vengeance, where new rivalries will form, and scores will be settled, as they were tonight. Next Show: Raw
